Good evening, this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.

I would like to remind you that Full time VIRTUAL and  ALTERNATING DAY students are required to mark their own attendance in Canvas on days they  are not in the school building.  Students will simply click on the daily attendance link on the left side of their canvas page and follow the steps.   Attendance must be taken on the actual day and will not be available before or after the current day.

It is our expectation that all students complete all  assignments in each class they are taking, whether hybrid or virtual.  Students should engage in all learning opportunities in all classes.

Please encourage your student to turn in any outstanding work and engage in all classes everyday.  Coursework and final grades will factor into the semester grade which will determine credit attainment and impact a student’s overall GPA and ability to earn a diploma.

October is national Anti-bullying month.  All students should  log into your Canvas account to access the link for bullying prevention.   http://warrenstudents-in.safestudents.com/  Please complete this module no later than Friday October 2nd.

While we are unable to host parents meetings in person, our cohort teams have each recorded a parent webinar  and those links can be found on our home page.   wchs.warren.k12.in.us.   I strongly encourage all families to take the time to watch these informational videos.

In case you missed it, Yearbooks can be ordered online, in the bookstore or in room G102.  The cost is $55 until fall intersession. After intersession the cost will increase.  You can find the link on our website.  (https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/general/homepage?portal=true)

As we prepare for another great week, please be reminded this week will start with a Gold Day on Monday. Gold day students should attend in person and Black day students will work from home.  Please screen students daily for COVID 19 symptoms. Students experiencing symptoms should stay home and parents or caregivers should contact the cohort office with that information.

Please note that our Fall Intersession Break is October 5 - 16. Students will return on Monday, October 19. During our Fall Intersession Break, the township will be providing breakfast and lunch distribution to all Warren students out of Moorhead Community Resource Center and Warren Central High School. More details will be provided next week.

As always, please check your email, the Warren Township app, and social media for continued updates.

Thank you and have a good evening.
