"Our unity is our strength...."
-Vice President Kamala Harris

Our students will see history made as the 1st person of color + female Vice President takes office today. It is important ALL of our students-no matter their race, gender, or background-know THEY can achieve their dreams + see excellence modeled by people who look like them.

"...Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."

We're BACK! We are elated to welcome our in-person students back into the building as we kick off the 3rd quarter of this year! We can't wait to learn, grow, laugh, and make memories together! It is such a joy to see our students after 60 days apart!

We honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a civil rights leader, activist, father, a minister, and a man who found for a nation where people "will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character".

We're so excited to see our students in-person soon! As we did in the fall, Hawthorne will be working diligently to practice social distancing procedures and using best hygiene practices, and we can't wait to work and learn together safely...and have some fun along the way!

We can't wait to see these faces soon!

Happy birthday, Mrs. McCasland!

Have a wonderful birthday, Mrs. Downard!

We will observe Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day next Monday, 18 January. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights leader, minister, and father. He strongly advocated for nonviolence, winning the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting racial inequality through nonviolent resistance.
