Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!

We have officially completed the first week of the 2026–2027 school year! By now, students should be familiar with their schedules and have identified the best routes to get to each of their classes on time.

Beginning this week, students who report late to class will be redirected to their cohort office to receive a tardy pass before entering class. To help keep families informed, parents will receive a ParentSquare notification whenever their student is marked tardy or absent from a class. If you receive one of these notifications, I encourage you to have a conversation with your student about the importance of arriving to class on time.

Students are given a seven-minute passing period, along with a one-minute warning before the bell. This provides ample time to travel throughout the building when students are moving with purpose. If your student is still having difficulty finding the best route to a class, please encourage them to stop by their cohort office, where our staff will be happy to assist them.

I am also excited to share that we have had a tremendous first week implementing our new no-personal-device policy. To date, the highest number of phones collected in a single day has been just 19—a remarkable accomplishment in a school of more than 3,000 students. This success demonstrates that our students are capable of rising to high expectations, and we appreciate your partnership in helping us reinforce this important expectation.

Finally, we are excited to welcome students and their families to our Back-to-School Night on Thursday, August 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to follow your student's schedule, meet their teachers, learn about course expectations, and explore the many extracurricular activities and opportunities available at Warren Central High School.

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening! Additional information can be found in this week's Sunday newsletter.

Thank you for your continued support, and as always, Go Warriors!
