The Spanish National Honor Society participated in a fundraiser to benefit Heifer International. They made little stuffed alpacas and gave them to anyone who donated at least $5. Their goal was to raise $300 to buy two alpacas for struggling families in South America. They then can use the wool to make things to sell or sell the wool. Additionally, they are supposed to donate the first female born from their alpacas to another struggling family. They were able to surpass their goal and raised $500. Last month, Heifer International had a triple donation match, so their $500 turned into $1500! Instead of donating the original 2 alpacas, they were able to buy 10!
