Swinging into Labor Day Weekend!

When we say #HawkFamily, we mean it! Our wonderful staff learns from each other, supports each other, and ALWAYS cheers for each other!! #HawkNation

"With protests over the violent deaths of Black Americans dominating the news, it’s understandable that many kids are feeling scared, confused or angry about the situation. "

Fun in first grade! Our first graders love their library time!

Phone lines appear to be fixed and our phones are now up and running at all of our Warren Schools and Facilities. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are experiencing technical difficulties with our phone lines at all of our Warren Schools / Facilities. We are working with our vendor to remedy the situation as soon as possible. Internet services are still working. We will update you when the phone lines have been restored.

Looking to start age-appropriate conversations with your child about anti-racism? "These books about racial diversity will give you an easy place to start destigmatizing difference & celebrating racial diversity":

Our Kindergarten Crew! We love Ms. Gansert, Ms. Page, and Mrs. Betts!

Hawthorne's fantastic 4th Grade Team! Their students are rocking it out this year--showing CORE, leading by example, and having positive attitudes--and we couldn't be more grateful to these amazing educators! Thank you, Mr. Collier, Mrs. Bradshaw, and Mrs. Mundell!

Today is National Heroes' Day! Our heroes are the students, families, and staff members!! We are so grateful for our #HawkFam. Who are YOUR heroes?! Share a photo, tag us on social media (with permission from your grownups), and let us know who you are thinking about today!

Is there a correct age to start talking with children about combating racism, hate, and intolerance? Check out this article by Parents.com to find out!

Dr. Jeanette Epps will be the first Black woman to live on the International Space Station! Thank you, Dr. Epps, for paving the way for Black women (and all women!) in STEM fields. Representation matters, and it is critical we teach our students about BIPOC heroes in every field.

All of these students showed some serious CORE at school this past week! Great job!!

Raziel was the Hawknation CORE Student of the Week!

57 years ago today. While our country is still working to realize the fullest expression of Dr. King's I HAVE A DREAM speech, we are hopeful that our Hawthorne scholars will do their part in making this world the place Dr. King dreamed of.

Did you know 2nd grade educator, Ms. Strickland, is a world traveler?! She has been many places, including Australia, and she loves encouraging her students to pursue their dreams of travel and adventure!

September menus are available! From the website or the app, choose the Dining icon and then select your school to see the menu. For a direct link click here>> https://warren.nutrislice.com/menu/

Freddy did an awesome job showing CORE in 3rd grade this week!
