We are excited that our current fourth-grade students will remain in elementary school for fifth grade beginning with the 2027–2028 school year. To support this transition, we must realign our elementary and middle school attendance boundaries for the 2027-2028 school year.
Throughout this process, our priorities are to:
Balance enrollment across our nine elementary schools
Minimize the number of students affected by boundary changes.
Reduce student travel times and improve transportation efficiency.
We invite our families to attend one of two community forums to learn more about the proposed boundary options and provide feedback. Both forums will follow an open-house format, allowing families to stop by at anytime between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The proposed boundary maps will be available on our website early next week. They will also be displayed at each elementary and intermediate middle school during parent-teacher conferences on October 1 and 2.
After reviewing the initial feedback, we will revise the boundary maps and share them with our community for an additional round of feedback. We intend to present a final proposal to the School Board for discussion at its November 18 meeting and request final approval at the December 16 meeting.
Although these changes will not affect every family, we recognize their significance for the students and families who will be impacted. Our district and school staff are committed to providing clear communication, listening to families’ concerns, and supporting students and families throughout this transition.
Hey Warrior Nation! We are excited that the Warren Central High School varsity football team will participate in one of four Indiana Black Expo Circle City Classic football games at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, September 26. The Warriors will take on the Pike Red Devils at 2:00 p.m.! We look forward to bringing the Eastside to Lucas Oil Stadium! Tickets can be purchased here!
To wrap up this week’s updates, I want to highlight two exciting opportunities for our Warren students and families taking place at Warren Central High School tomorrow and throughout the weekend!
We will kick things off tomorrow with an opportunity for students to explore their futures at the Warren Central College & Career Fair. Join us on Thursday, September 24, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the WCHS Commons. Please enter through Door 1.
Students and families can connect directly with representatives from colleges and universities, trade programs, the military, and local employers. INvestEd will also be available to provide seniors and their families with expert guidance and assistance completing the FAFSA.
Middle school students and families are strongly encouraged to attend. It is never too early to explore career interests, learn about postsecondary options, and begin planning for life after high school!
SIX: The Musical - Teen Edition
This weekend, our talented Warren Central students will present SIX: The Musical—Teen Edition at the Warren Performing Arts Center. Performances will take place September 25–27.
Come out and support our outstanding student performers as they bring this energetic production to the stage. It promises to be a one-of-a-kind performance you will not want to miss! Tickets can be purchased here!
